Veronica Scheurich, Hope, Geneveive or Elmer Strom
Posted by Therese (+17) 7 years ago
I am interested in finding information about my great grandmother, Veronica Scheurich. She was the last one to operate the Stone Shack north of Miles city, also later, maybe around 1922-1925 owned a hotel in Miles City? Her daughter, Genevieve married my grandfather, Elmer Strom. He had a brother, Ivar, and others. My mom, Hope Strom went to the Catholic highschool in Miles City. Any info or memories of any of them would be greatly appreciated!

Was Casper one of the brothers? He was an active architect and builder in Miles City responsible for a number of buildings.

I went to high school with a Stacy Strom circa 1977-80. There also was a Slivers Strom who was the fire captain for many year in the 70s. You can find his obit on Stevenson & Sons website.
I don't think they were related.

Casper Strom was my grandfather. His son, Sylvester (Slivers) Strom, was my uncle. Neither were relatives of Elmer Strom.

Wendy,

Stacie Strom is/was my sister-in-law. No relation to Elmer Strom. BTW, Stacie passed away in December of 2014.

My grandfather had several brothers, some settled, homesteaded north of Miles City as well. Carl(?), Peter, Charley, Gustof (?), Ivar. I don't think Casper was one of them, but I will check. Thank you so much everyone! Of particular interest would be anyone remembering my mother, Hope Strom. She went to Catholic high school in Miles City. I found her valedictorian pin. ?? I found a 1939/1940 year book from the community college in MC with a couple of her pics at the MC library a few years ago.

My grandfather, Elmer Strom did live out his life in Forsyth. He is buried there. His mother, Elizabeth (Carlson) Strom, I have learned is buried in Miles City. His father was John Strom. I am verifying whether or not he was also buried in Miles City.
