You know guys, it actually does take money to run this place each month.
On a good month, I take perhaps $100 out of my pocket to keep it going. On a bad one, more like $300. I can't keep doing this forever.
The reason I created the "sponsored ads" thing, was so visitors wouldn't have to bear the cost (which was only from donations before), but there has only been a few advertisers that have stepped up since.
Smith Sales has totally done so. I've chatted with Matt in the past, and he truly cares about Miles City. I would definitely frequent his businesses -- he is a good guy. Also, the Confluence has been supporting, and Auto Advantage, and a couple others.
But, the way things are going, I almost feel like shutting everything down -- which I don't want to do because of all the historic info and such on here.
Something has to change though.
Not exactly sure what the point of this post is, except to voice my emotions -- and perhaps to try and figure out how to get more local businesses involved with supporting MilesCity.com.
