Not sure if this belongs in classifieds or not, so I'll put it here for now. My daughter is coming up to stay with her father for the next month. We live in a huge town in California and I'm worried she's going to feel really out of her element. She almost cried when I told her there wasn't a target in town since our town has 2 of them. She was also pretty bummed that they don't have a mcdonald's playground. I would love for anyone to recommend activities and adventures for her so I can relay them to her dad. I know about the oasis and spotted eagle, but I haven't lived there for 4 years and don't know what's new and exciting!

About my dearest daughter:
Age- 7
Grade- Entering 2nd
Hobbies- Pokemon, reading, playing video games, writing letters, crafts, and she is currently in Gymnastics 3x a week down here.

Here is a photo in case you see her and want to say welcome! She is very friendly and loves to talk!

Thanks for the advice. Do you know if she will qualify for a library card while she is there? She loves to read and I've sent about 30 books with her, but she's read most of them. I hope she can find some new summer reading!

I am not sure but they have summer reading programs. Her dad can get one, Ps you might want to take her pic off of here. Miles City is a great place with amazing people but I get nervous about kids pic being posted with information that can identify them to strangers on the streets

Unfortunately Larry thinks everything put on the site needs to stay forever. There is a need to be able to delete things in a post even after someone else has replied.

Larry can you remove Smileys photo?

Uhh, that's not exactly correct. I'll remove the link, however the photo is hosted on an external site - not here. It would have been very easy for the original poster to have removed the photo themselves. In any case, ignore me and continue on...

There is a nice Roller skating rink here in town now, we have hosted most of the kids in her age group. We are only opened for the weekends, but it is a lot of fun. We have video games as well as a bounce house, and pool tables. We also have air hockey and a full snack bar and pro shop. Our prices are still reminiscent of the eighties, so bring her by. She will certainly enjoy herself here, its our goal and welcome to MC!!!

There is also a group of girls from the gymnastics team that frequents
the rink, and use the stage to showcase there talents.

Thank you Webmaster for removing the photo. I realized later I could have just unhosted it myself. I appreciate it!

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. It sounds like she will be busy for the next 34 days!

Does she like to Bowl? The new and super cool owners of Recreation Lanes are offering 1 free game a day starting I THINK in July... that would be something she could do with her dad **and maybe even beat him?? **

Miles City has something better than a Target. It's called the M&H.
