Moon Creek/Tongue River Mail delivery

I don't know how a person can mix up Moon creek road with tongue river road, but the incompetent mail carrier that has these two routes sure seems to do just that. I am pretty sure he just puts mail in what ever box he feels like putting it in since those of us on these routes spend more time putting the mail that was put in our boxes into the proper boxes. It is so frustrating that this guy "Dave" cannot do his job right. Those of us living on these routes all need to call into the USPS in Miles City or to the main office and complain in order for this mess to get fixed. I know for sure that at least six people are getting pretty fed up with the situation and am sure there are several more that I have not spoken to. So please if you are on these routes call 232-2586 or the head office at 1-800-275-8777 and let them know that there are others than just me that this is happening to.

We live on Moon Creek as well and are right there with you on being fed up. Although we haven't seemed to have this problem, we have had the issue of packages not showing up, although all of our other "regular" mail has no problem making it to us. Three times so far the tracking number shows that they have made it to the Miles City post office or have actually been delivered to us, when we never saw them. The last time I went in and told them the tracking said it had been delivered but I never got it, so the woman said she'd check into it, then the next day it showed up. In the meantime I had went online and filed a complaint about it and then received a voice-mail on my phone from the post master general saying he is going to take care of it etc. etc. so hopefully that problem will be resolved. Something does have to be done for sure.

I know, I just tracked a package that said it had been delivered and has not shown up. I talked to someone at the post office today and told them it wasn't just me that this is happening to and he said he couldn't go on here say so in order for something to be done anyone having a problem needs to call in and let them know. I was told that they would email me today with the information on the contractor and the carriers full name but so far nothing. I would suggest we all call the main office so that they have a record of what is going on since it doesn't go too far complaining to the local office.

Yeah that's for sure, the only way anything will (hopefully) get done is if enough people get a hold of the main office. I'll have to keep that number you posted and get my call in!

Something that I don't understand is when I order and I track it UPS, I find that they dump it at the Post Office for the USPS to sort and deliver...and, this usually means very late the same day or the next day. I believe that there must be a cost savings for someone along the line but have never learned any specifics. I would be interested if anyone knows why this happens? Once in awhile UPS still delivers. Puzzle.
