Our next president

I propose we elect someone that promises (or will be impeached) to ban phone telemarketers. And yes I have the useless Do Not Call. A promise like that may just get someone elected with our political environment.

I'm sure we can find someone to run who will take on the telemarketers. I just hope she or he won't get sidetracked with mundane things like the spread of Ebola or Iraq or other parts of the world in total collapse.

We don't need to wait for the next President. The current President's job is apparently to ignore Iraq, Ebola, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Israel, Gaza, Russia, the Ukraine, the IRS, job creation, the tanking economy, the southern boarder, etc.; and he's doing a damn fine job of it.

The important thing is though, he's having a good time fiddling in Martha's Vineyard while the world burns down around him.

http://www.huffingtonpost...42452.html

Ari Fleischer, press secretary for George W. Bush, used the paradoxical phrase “working vacations” in 2001 to explain the newly inaugurated president's decision to spend 30 days in Texas less than six months after he entered office. Fleischer’s successors stuck to that script, employing the same phrase in 2005, the year that Bush's total vacation days eclipsed Ronald Reagan's total for his entire presidency. (Bush eventually racked up 879, compared to Reagan's 335.)

Finally someone on this site that makes sense. You notice how the liberals only respond by cussing and calling names.

President Obama was elected 5 1/2 years ago. Does anyone know when he is supposed to report for his 1st day of work?

For the lazy & shiftless among the tea party troll(s) on milescity.com. Look! There's even a shiny Marine helicopter in the background to help you stay focused.

I read in today's Denver Post that Obama has been dealing with problems in Northern Iraq. Odd job, Why don't you look up how many vacations Obama has taken the versus the number Dubya has taken over the same period of time. Your opinions would have more merit if you backed them up with facts..

It's a good thing that the President and his staff watch the evening news so they know what is happening in the world.

Redmond and Oddjob, did you criticize George W. Bush for the same thing?
Top
Posted by redmondroughneck (+87) 8 years ago
As an independent I criticize equally. My wish would be that we have a new President in 2016 and 535 new members of the house and senate as well. Vote all of them out and start over.

It isn't about vacations. Its about the current Persident doing nothing while thousands are slaughtered by Islamists radicals. He didn't do diddly until he pissed off the Pope. Didn't know that anybody could do that, but BO managed.

We argue that the Tea Party is better understood as a reactionary conservative force. It prefers the sorts of dramatic changes that threaten the stability traditional conservatives usually seek to preserve. Reactionary conservatives fear losing their way of life amid social change. To preserve their group’s social prestige, they’re willing to undermine long-established norms and institutions. Furthermore, reactionary conservatives are more likely to subscribe to conspiracy theories as a means of explaining the perceived erosion of their dominance. Reactionary conservatives will, therefore, claim that their “enemies” are destroying their way of life. Compromise is commensurate with defeat, not political expediency. Proper capitalization, punctuation, spelling or sentence structure is identified with effete elitism and never to be publicly observed [emphasis added].

If the tea party is hurting the republican party, why are all the far left wacko's so afraid of them. They should be supporting them.

I don't think any of us Far Left Wackos are afraid of the Tea Party. We laugh at them because they are so incredibly stupid.

I am very comfortable in who I am, and can identify with most any term applied towards me, negative or positive in connotation, as long it makes the more fearful amongst us more calm and settled.

That is the way my mother brought me up.
