Community Water Safety Day, August 2

Afraid of water or just want to ensure that your family has the tools necessary to increase their safety in the water? This is water recreation season and we want everyone to go out and have fun and come home safe! Bring your kids, family, and friends to learn or reinforce basic swimming skills, learn basic self-rescue skills, and gain a better understanding and respect of water recreation in Montana! Participants include Miles City Fire/Rescue, Miles City Natural Oasis, Walleyes Unlimited, Bureau of Land Management, and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Free food to follow for all participants!

I attended and enjoyed the stations and learned a lot about water safety, life jackets, swimming for safety, water rescue, and hypothermia. Great way to spend the morning. Thanks to all the groups,people, and Miles City Firefighters for the presentations. Hope that there will be more in the future.
