Noticed that the Miles City Chamber of Commerce posted the Crimestoppers poster about this tragic death on their Facebook page.

I find it hard to believe that there were so many people yet no one knows what happened. If it were an accident I would think whoever did it would have come forward.

I hope they find the coward or cowards who did this and ran.

Dave, do you think it's possible that no one knew? If so why were people talking about how it would destroy someone's life if they turned themselves in? I think there are people that know. I hope they find whoever did this.

"Dave, do you think it's possible that no one knew?"

It doesn't seem likely that no one knew, but I wasn't there and I know nothing of the incident. My gut feeling is that it was a terrible accident. I doubt anyone who was there that night wanted the outcome that happened.

Dark night at a high school kegger, someone gets hit by a vehicle, and nobody knows what happened?

Having been to such events in the 1970s (sans the someone getting hit by a car part), yes, I can believe it. When I left my senior kegger (stone cold sober, I might add), in the daylight, I damn near ran into one of my classmates puking along the dirt two track into Woodruff park. It was raining hard and he just stumbled out of no where. I hate to think what might have happened in the dark.

So, I am inclined to give those present the benefit of the doubt. Unless 30 years later they go all Barry Beach on us.

Bridgier.....Big Dry Bug......please tell us that these are old people's problems, and nothing like this ever happened in the nineties.

I am just guessing that they're investigating it again because of the new posting. Perhaps someone has been talking. You know how that goes in small towns.

Gunnar, was that the night that one of the Wilson twins died?

No, that was a few months before the senior kegger.

No, we had plenty of alchohol related deaths while I was at CCDHS. Twas ever thus.

Maybe no one else knows, but the driver certainly knows. You dont hit someone that hard enough to kill them without knowing.

You would also think there may have been some amount of damage to the vehicle that hit him. I guess if he was passed out in the middle of the road and someone drove over the top of him then the vehicle may not show any damage.

Thinking back to when we used to party out in the "boonies" it was common for us to take a pickup around to gather firewood to bring back to the party site. Is there any chance Harold was in the back of a pickup truck on such an excursion and he fell out of the pickup?

If he fell out of a truck someone would realize he wasn't there when he stopped. I still say truth is coming.
