I was looking at Hollywood types like (Lee) Meriwether and (Cybill) Shepherd (who I also guessed at) because "Beauty Pageants" per se, didn't really take off until the '40's and '50's. The only other "classic actress" I could find was Lombard from Mack Sennett's "Bathing Beauties" which wasn't a competition. So it didn't seem to fit....

Is Meriwether the answer you were looking for?

My last guess before I blow out of this snowstorm for sunny Mexico.
