>> 1)Super Woman's town=That would be Linda Carter=Cartersville

Wouldn't that be *Wonder* Woman's town?

I "wondered" about that.

Wonder also means "miraculous", somewhat similar to super.

Number one should read Wonder Woman's town instead of Super Woman's town. As Dave pointed out the answer is Cartersville after Linda Carter. Thanks for correcting my mistake.

Glendive, Beebe, and Opportunity have previously been used. No duplications I believe from previous trivia.

We have a winner. oddjob got them all. Always thought that # 60 was one of the easiest.

E-mail me your name and address and the silver half dollar will be on it's way. Thank you all it was a fun game.

Believe I can come up with another 50 towns without any duplications of the other 3. Have a old silver dollar to the winner. If there is any interest post here.

Thanks again to everyone. Ike

Congrats to "oddjob".

Where is (was?) Carroll, Montana?

Carroll was on the Missouri river and named after Matt Carroll the freighter of the Diamond R.

Thanks Ike. That was fun and the competition was stiff. Good job to everyone. I had to wade through a bunch of Google pages referencing Carroll College before found an old military report referring to Carroll, Montana Territory.

We should do it again if you're up for it.

Archie Savage was an actor (film and TV) from the 1940's through the 1960's. It was a long shot but I couldn't find Carroll, Montana, on the map or in any list of Montana cities, townships, census designated places (CDP), or list of Montana ghost towns.

If you're wondering about the "Archie of TV == Monarch" link there is a television series on BBC TV called "Monarch of the Glen" and Archie MacDonald is one of the characters in the series. I could just imagine Ike watching that one on PBS and thinking surely we all know the show.

"Archibald Horatio Hector "Archie" MacDonald is a fictional character in the BBC TV series Monarch of the Glen. Archie is played by Scottish actor Alastair Mackenzie."

Wikipedia: Archie MacDonald (Monarch of the Glen)

"Jefferson City" should be more obvious to "All in the Family" / Archie Bunker fans as George and Louise Jefferson were Archie's neighbors.

Lastly, Archie Duncan was also a mostly TV actor from the 1940's thru the 1970's. He played Little John in the 1950's "The Adventures of Robin Hood" television series amongst many other roles.

I have no idea how I got the idea there was a Duncan, Montana (there isn't/wasn't as far as I can tell). I think I had an "Ah ha!" moment when I found another Archie on TV and just threw Duncan out in desperation.
