You sure something's wrong with the on-board video card? eMachines have notoriously bad power supplies (250w BesTec) that loved to take out everything before it dies.

What is your PSU make and model number?

James, this machine she is talking about had a child accidentally drag it off of a counter by the vga cord and destroyed inside/onboard port. A long while ago I put an old graphics card I had in it. Not sure what problems she is having but the machine does have issues. If some one has a old dual core to upgrade her to it would help her. She is going to school and could really use one. I scrapped all my old stuff, I have nothing for her.

Please, could some one help her out?

I'll dig around here. Not sure when I'll be able to head back to Miles City.

They usually sell old P4's at the rescue mission for $15-20. They have a reasonable setup on newegg.com for $99.99 (89.99 w/rebate)
