Regardless of what congress does or doesn't do, STILL needs a comprehensive stormwater management plan and associated flood control structures.

Tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at room 106 at MCC, there will be a Miles City Flood Protection Public Information Meeting. The flyer says you don't need to stick around for the whole thing but recommend at least dropping in. Around 6:45, they are supposed to have 'break out' sessions by Ward, because some parts of the city are well and truly clobbered by the flood map while others are less so.

Could be worse. I was reading in the newspaper sent out by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis about folks in New Orleans who went from several hundred dollars a year to $17,000 a year in insurance. That is a bit out of line, even for FEMA.
