I am one of those idiots. I have this poop called AVG that appears on my Chrome toolbar, that I have no idea how to get rid of. Annoys the living hell out of me.

AVG is insidious crap that sneaks in, hidden in the user agreement in either Java or Adobe updates. After nuking the Start and Run menus, Programs and the Registry, I see it's still lurking in Google Chrome.

Look in Programs/Features and see if AVG Safe Search is in there.

AVG is antivirus software. I actually pay for it and it works great for me.
