Apparently a part of the aircraft (baffle) came loose and when the wings were swept back this piece was caught in the wing and tore a hole in the fuel line. (Rapid City Journal)

All airplane crashes are ultimately the result of the forces of drag and gravity overcoming the forces of lift and thrust. A good landing is nothing more than a controlled crash where the plane can be reused.
