Do you know offhand when the following current incarnations of these schools were built.

Lincoln
Washington
Garfield

My know-it-all brother needs a kick in the butt.

According to the description on last year's Miles City Christmas tree ornament the south half of Lincoln was built in 1916 and the north half in 1934.

I would guess Garfield was built around 1981.

Washington was also built in phases (including the "original" building, I believe). There is a postcard on the Internet that's dated 1913 and shows the old building in its entirety (Washington School Postcard). The band room was added later (1960's?), the gymnasium in about 1981, and the lunchroom/kitchen in... the mid-to-late 2000's?

To make it more complicated, Garfield replaced the 1914 structure, Washington replaced the First Ward school house which was built about 1890 and Lincoln replaced the 1902 Second Ward school house.

So, who won the argument, Wendy?

I'm guessing her brother got a kick in the butt regardless of whether Wendy won the argument or not.
