Anyone know which radio and TV stations might be carrying the Carroll and Grizzly games? I think Carroll starts at 10 and the Grizzly game starts at 12(mst) Should be able to follow the play by play of the Grizzly game on the ESPN site.

According to the news last night..Carroll (sp) will not be televised..but, ktvq.com will have updates on their website as they do have someone there who will be reporting.

We purchased Pay Per View from Mid-Rivers...$26.00 and will have both the Griz and the Bison games plus more for the day. I also heard that you can view it at espn3.com.

Woof.

Coastal Carolina 42, Montana 21 with a little over 9 minutes (I'm watching this on streaming and the picture quality is so poor I can't read the clock) left in the 3rd quarter.

I'm outta here.

University of Wyoming hardly seems like a step up, Tom. You'd think some big-time program might go after him.

Wow. Bad move by Bohl. He's a good coach and all, but he's 55 years old for crying out loud.

He'll make more money, but I doubt he'll last there more than five years...

On the bright side, it sure is gonna be fun ribbing the Bison fans around here!

That's now how college football works.

No big-time program is going to hire Craig Bohl. Imagine you're a big donor to USC or Washington. You couldn't identify Craig Bohl in a police lineup.

Coaches don't jump from FCS to a major program. Sweater Vest (Tressel) is the exception that proves the rule, somehow going from Youngstown State to tOSU.

Look at Brian Kelly (Notre Dame coach)
--- Grand Valley State 12 years
--- Central Michigan 3 years
--- Cincinnati 3 years
--- Notre Dame

Bohl is now at the Central Michigan level. And at 55, he's probably too old to get two more steps, though he may jump the Cincinnati step if he wins big right away.

NOTE: Kelly won big everywhere he was.

Hope Bohl does better than Smokey Joe Glenn or Bobby Hauck. OK, I'm lying...I hope he gets worked.

Curious choice by Wyoming. Seem like a sideways move for Bohl. Doesn't seem like a step up for the school. Guess we will have to wait and see. IMO, Bill Snyder pretty much disproves your age theroy, Bob L.

Richard:

Point taken.

But Snyder was K-State's coach since about 1989.

He came out of retirement in '09 when they were sucking hind teat.

Hard to be upwardly mobile in your late 50s/early 60s, I think.

But I could be wrong!!!

The Craig Bohl show will be on at 10:30 AM Central time on NBC here in NoDak. Will be interesting to see what he says.
I agree that it seems like a sidestep by him to go to Wyoming. I wonder if he gave NDSU a chance to raise his salary and a longer contract? He would be worth it and has given ND some great publicity rather then the same old stuff about the Bakken 24 hours a day.
We'll see.

Tom:

Can you update us...I'm skeptical that Bohl will show up since he's likely on his way to Laramie.

I could listen, but I'd rather have a colonoscopy than listen to the "Craig Bohl Show."

Seriously.

He showed up and said he is flying to Wyoming today for press conference. He will be back for practice tomorrow for next weeks game. He said it was time to go as he has been here 11 years. That his goal when he came to NDSU was to win a national championship and he has won 2 and is trying for a 3rd.
He said NDSU has a strong program and fan support and coaches come and go.That NDSU will get along without him. He did say it is hard time for recruiting. He said he has always liked the state of Wyoming having vacationed there throughout his life. He was sweating a little. Then they ended the segment and went on to talk about yesterdays game.

Good on him for showing up.

Having said that, I'll be very surprised if he coaches another game for NDSU. It just doesn't make any sense.

I'm guessing he'll take many of his assistants with him. They likely wouldn't be retained if NDSU hires a new coach from outside the program.

Should be interesting...

Did Bohl ever specifically say he's staying for the rest of the season?

Or was he parsing words?

If I'm Wyoming's AD and just hired a new coach for a lot of $$$, I want him on the recruiting trail RIGHT PROCREATEING NOW

Just sayin'

Don't be surprised when Bohl starts sweet talking current Bison players and potential NDSU recruits to follow him to Laramie...

The Bison sports reporters and announcers are saying they could really understand it if he would have left for Nebraska,Minnesota,Iowa or a big name football school instead of Wyoming.
They definitley said He will finish the season as long as the Bison are in the playoffs.
They interviewed several former players and they are saying what happens the rest of the playoffs is up to the 24 seniors for leadership.
They then discussed if the assistant coaches would be leaving, the process of hiring of a new head coach and recruiting. Sounds like Gene Taylor has his work cut out for him.
They are going to broadcast the Wyoming press conference on the late sports tonight.
It will be interesting to see how the recruiting of a new coach goes.

The Bison sports reporters and announcers are blind homers.

Coaches at Bohl's level rarely jump directly to an AQ conference. It just doesn't work that way.

Exception: Sweater Vest.

The harsh reality: Your football program isn't all that special if your coach ditches you to go to Wyoming.

The Big 12 turned down Louisville. Why would they take Wyoming?

The Big 12 currently has 10 teams. Who's going there with Wyoming???
