It's around 27F here in the Seattle area which feels plenty chilly. It boggles my mind to think Miles City is 54F! degrees colder. Brrrrrrr.

Jordan and Havre had the national (lower 48 states) extreme low temperature overnight at -39F. Punta Gorda, Florida, had the extreme high yesterday at 88F.

Part of Alaska is in Zone 8 (similar zone as southern Alabama, Mississippi). That would be an island that is off shore. Some of the Aleutian Islands are in zone 7
