I don't know about the current status, but there have been a number of "tattoo wars" on here in the past offering various advice ...

I do know of someone who recently got spinal meningitis from a dirty tattoo needle and is currently facing life in a wheelchair and staggering medical debt. So make sure you are seeing a reputable provider.

Listen to neonfreedom. If any one would be able to assess the quality of a tattoo, it would be her.....or her cousin, argonliberty.

I recommend sticking with the lick-and-stick variety of temporary tattoos. Today I have Hello Kitty on my butt but tomorrow I may not be so into Hello Kitty. Tomorrow I might prefer the State Farm logo on my butt, "And like a good neighbor..."

Just because Billings is a bigger town doesn't necessarily mean the artists are better. The guy who owns the tattoo shop in Miles City is very reputable. He worked for many years in Billings but decided to come back to his home town. He is clean, opens up his needles in front of you, and I would suggest him. He does awesome work. Earl, across from the wrestling complex on bridge street.

This is a rumor, a rumor that happens to be false.

The causes of his infection are unknown, but he got his tattoo months before the infection and the doctor said it is unlikely that the tattoo was the cause

Copper Cat in Billings. Bre is the artist and owner. I highly recommend her. I haven't had any from other artists there but she is amazing. Definitely check out the artists' you are considering portfolio on Facebook. Most tattoo shops have them including Treasure State.

When considering a tattoo (especially a first one), I'd recommend talking to somebody who's had tattoos for 15 or 20 years and ask them if they still love their tattoos. I can't even tell you the number of friends and relatives I have who have "tattoo regret."

The handlebar tramp stamp was, in retrospect, a little tacky.
