The Custer County Foodbank will be holding a Thanksgiving food drive on Saturday Nov 2nd from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The location will be in the Aaron's parking lot along South Haynes. We will be partnering with KMTA radio, Montana Lottery, and Aaron's to have this event. We are hopeing to receive donations of turkeys, hams, or any non-perishable food items in order to provide Thanksgiving food baskets for our needy neighbors. Cash donations will be accepted as well, and the foodbank is a 501(c)(3) corporation and cash donations are tax deductible. Look for the Aaron's truck for the drop off location. The Soup Kitchen folks will also be there serving homemade soup from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for a donation and will have hot coffee as well. Look for them in the Blue Rock Distributing food booth. Stay tuned to KYUS, and check the Miles City Star all week for updates.

During the food drive, the Miles City Soup Kitchen will be serving two appetizing soups from 11:00 am -1:00 pm (or until the soup is gone). We'll be serving hot beverages throughout the day. All donations received by the Soup Kitchen at this food drive will go directly to the Miles City Food Bank to help feed our hungry neighbors over the holiday season and beyond.

The Miles City Soup Kitchen is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We provide healthy and appetizing meals to all in this community who come to us in need.....everyone is welcome. We are located on the first floor of the VA hospital building, and serve Monday - Friday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. We operate solely on the generosity of the community, service organizations, and grants from charitable foundations. Of all the things I miss about miles City, the food bank and kitchen are my two favorite. The true spirit of community, especially during the holidays.
