I don't know if I'm just hitting them at bad times, but walmart pharmacy has gotten so SLOW over the past few months. How do Big Sky and Osco compare? And are their prices similar?

I think they all are probably great pharmacies. Joe uses Walmart and thinks it might be the volumne if you have a problem. His only problem has been when the Fax system from his Dr's office does not get the information over and it has to be pursued. Three pharmacists and helpers going pretty strong.

Osco has a new $3.99 for one month or $9.99 for 3 months discount plan on over 500 drugs. It costs $11.99 for a year's membership per household. It even takes $5 off a flu shot.

Try Foster Drug or you could go down the block to Rexall if you need another option.

Jeri - that's the problem I've been having. I leave the doctor's office and show up at Walmart 30 minutes after the prescription has been sent over, and when I get there they haven't even gotten it off the machine yet. When you're standing there waiting for pain relief for a kid who has a massive migraine or antibiotics to start treating strep, it's pretty frustrating. Yesterday I had to wait forever because they spelled our daughter's name wrong and our insurance kicked it out.

JJC - is Osco pretty quick?

If you value your time waiting in line, Big Sky is going to be cheaper and faster than WallyWorld.

How fast a pharmacy is has a lot to do with how many prescriptions have rolled in. I rarely wait more than 20 minutes at Osco but if we are in the middle of some disease, it can be longer.

I am hoping my pharmacy will take time to be accurate which I know all of the ones in Miles City are so I am willing to wait.

Joe was at the WalMart Pharmacy this morning and they are in process of hiring more people to work in the Pharmacy. It is tough to wait if you have a sick child but, I think it happens wherever you go. A prescription sent to WM by the Doc's office was not honored by the insurance..so, they faxed back for similar, only covered...and, all of that was accomplished only it took a few hours. No rush though...but, it was satisfactory. Really great people at all of them, however....and, we are lucky that Miles City has the choices.

I love Walmart Pharmacy....all the employees are top notch!! I am sure the volume is what adds to the wait at Walmart....but it is my pharmacy of choice!

WM. If you are renewing, just call it in, and you will get a call back when it is done. Even for new pers., I have never waited more than 10 min. If you have to wait, there is always something to do at WM.

I have used all of them at one time or another and I have to say Big Sky is the best!

It's all marketing. Walmart estimates the average person spends approx $80 on general mdse while waiting for their prescription to be filled.

My phriends in the pharmacy biz opher phree delivery and it's phast, too. Last week it was twenty phive minutes aphter calling in, their car was in my driveway. Surely a store in MC could do that, it might triple their business, too.

Maybe the others have phound that competiion has sucked all the prophits out oph the pharmacy business. Combine that with the cost of phuel and a driver, it's a phairly touph business.

Osco is the fastest in my opinion and never had to wait. I also call before I go...
