A drum circle is a gathering of people with conga drums, bongos and other percussion instruments who come together just to jam out. You can also hum, chant or sing along. No need for prior experience. it is just free form expression. Everyone takes cues from each other and it all just comes together. If you Google "Drum Circle" you will find lots of information.

It sounds like an excuse to smoke some weed.

As long as you're going that route why not get a cool sounding acronym to call your group circle....

Hmmmm...why not use something like "Jamming Echoes Rehearsing Klaxons Circle".

That'd be real boss.

FH

PS- Do you rent drums and weed for those of us who want to join but don't have our own?

Duly noted that the OP is refraining from typing a response.

Well done.

Wow. I wish I lived closer, had the time to commit, or both. I used to make ceramic doumbeks. Still would if the opportunity came up via a school pottery studio or the like. I wish you well with this. As for the weed, it's not necessary. You'll get high if you're drumming right. Namaste.

That is correct, no need for drugs. I am hoping to find a few folks who are seriously interested. A few people on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at one of the parks would be a good start.

I did some drumming with a church youth group once. It was fun, kind of like a drum team with the high school.
