I think this town needs a bagel shop and a late night coffee place that's open past 5.

Put a casino in the bagel place and you just might be on to something.

Actually. the last new casino is gone. I think maybe even the last two casinos went under. We seemed to have reached saturation.

The primary problem is employees. Good ones are scarce as hen's teeth.

Which 2 are you referring too? Didn't notice any shut down last time I looked.

A City Brew is being built in front of Mexico Lindo, and many of their franchise locations are open anywhere from 6-10pm.

Main Street Grind has been doing some bagels lately. Looks like mostly savory ones, but I would imagine selection varies. I haven't personally tried any yet, but they looked yummy every time I've seen them!

Are they making real bagels or just bread that looks like bagels? Bagels must be boiled.

Sweet bagels are just bad doughnuts.

All of our bagels are made fresh in house and boiled in honey water. Selection does vary but far and away savory bagels have been more popular than sweet, although I do have a strawberry cream cheese or honey to put on a plain one if you would like it sweet.

+1 to Wendy.

The best bagel has onion, garlic, and/or similar stuff on it.

Here in Helena, the Bagel Company makes a great jalapeno cheese bagel.

Glad to see Main Street Grind making real bagels. Good for you! Please support them.

Kudos to the Grind! I'll definitely stop in for a bagel next time I'm in town.

The Grind bagels aren't quite the real deal, but they're definitely better than grocery store "bagels." Boiling them in water with barley malt syrup would give them a more authentic flavor.

Where do you get malt? I looked every where but no luck. Except the interweb.
