Curiosity question on pink house
Posted by Diesel (+185) 10 years ago
I see the city has finally posted signs on a lot of the homes that have been falling apart over the years. I have been curious for quite some time about the falling down pink house across the street from Blue Rock. Why is that house still standing, does it have some sort of significance as to why no one is ever there, or what did it used to be? I have wondered ever since I was a kid....it gives off a creepy vibe now, imagine what kind of moldy creatures could be growing in there!

A pink house by blue Rock? I think my buyer may have lived there back in the early 90's. "A creepy vibe" barely begins to describe it.

I know the old history but nothing current. It was the Coleman house and was moved from where the Blue Rock parking lot is when the Safeway was built back in the late fifties. The house is late nineteenth century, badly and cheaply converted to apartments long ago. Owners hoped to restore it at one time but I think cost got the best of them. Don't know current status. If I had a million bucks. . . but I'm still slogging away on my current historic money pit.
Anyone have an uncontrollable urge to strip layers of old wallpaper? I have just the project for you!
