Home from this weekends AA state track meet in Bozeman where my grandson Alex Klatt of Billings Senior HS won the 800 meter race for the 3rd year in a row, something that had never been accomplished at the boys AA level. For good measure he also won the 400 meter run. He will be running track for the University of Memphis next year.

Those were fine marks and the 3-peat was indeed special. Your grandson had a very nice career.

Should anyone wish to watch the 800 meter race it's on youtube, perhaps some one can clean up the address. Thanks. Going in the kid in the orange shirt was thought by some to be the winner.

Good video, wow your boy really kicked it in after Zach passed him. Amazing finish. I think Mr. Perrin won two longer events, and our neighbor kid smashed the AA javelin record. I couldn't find any detailed listing of overall results. My hat is off to all those who got out there and tried.

Perrin won the 1600 but finished 3rd in the 800 and 3200. The 3200 was not long after the 800.

Ike. When I was in High School, there was a guy named Klatt, Bruce I think, who was a pretty good trackster. Is this his son?
