Pizza Burger. The greatest taste sensation in a sandwich since the hamburger. Now served at Bill's Drive Inn. Phone 2637-M. 2515 Main.

Ring any bells for anyone?

Pete,

Was Della's Cafe close to that address?

Chuck, I'm pretty sure Della's was on the same site, only later.

Jack, Bill's Drive Inn, was on the corner East of Watt's Insurance in the same block, to the best of my recollection. I don't know what's there now.

Along the same line, does anybody remember Gene's Dairy Bar?

Pete - by chance do you remember the very first "drive in" out on highway 10? I do believe it was the R & L which was opened by Roger (?) and Luke Conway? Betty Carter O'Brien

Betty,
I remember that one. Wasn't it about where the old Dairy Queen used to be. I think Roger's last name was Johnson, and the other one was definitely Luke Conway of Miles City Saddlery fame.
You didn't say whether you remember Gene's Dairy Bar or not.
It was located on East Main in what later became the A&T building where Carquest is now. It was built by Gene Schuelte, owner of Purity Dairy as a good indoor ice cream and food server. It wasn't there too many years and I don't know what happened that they closed it. It was one nice clean place.

Mr. Schulte died at a very young age shortly after he opened the Dairy Bar and it became Jack's Foodtown. Just ran through that sequence in 50 years ago.

Yes, I do remember the Dairy Barn also remember that Mr. Schulte died from a tragic accident, if I remember it right. The R & L was about where the DQ is/was as I remember too. Julie Etchemendy was the first car hop to work at it as we are friends so that's probably why I remember that one. Thanks again Pete for all the memories you bring to this site. Betty O'Brien
