Has anyone been successful fishing around Miles City in the last week? Any advice on lures, etc?

I recommend big dry bugs.

I second that...big dry bugs....preferably tipped with poop that they left at their friend's elder brother's house.

Why does everyone on this site have to be such a smart ass. Cranks
seems to be working the best

I fish there on the weekends, at the mouth, and regular worms are doing fine. I hear alot of people say that minnows are the way to go, but my luck has still been tied to the night crawler. I too dispise the smart asses.

That's funny....I despise the humourless bastards on this site.

Bite me.

I agree with you all about the smart asses on this site...my 9yr old son is more mature than most of the people that post smart ass comments ALL the time...maybe if it was a once and a while thing or maybe if they would put "normal" posts too it would be fine but they don't. Have you noticed it is the same people all the time that post rude comments and put people down if they don't agree with their opinion? Some days it makes me wonder exactly how old these people are, some of them act like they are in elementary school!

It has nothing to do with not having humor, it has to do with something apparently they know nothing about...a little thing called RESPECT.

9 is a little young to be suffering from hemorrhoids.

Obviously you read little beyond the classified advertisements on milescity.com, "NikiLynn", or you would have noticed throughout the years that Mssrs. Bonine Jr., Showalter, and yours truly have posted very substantive posts throughout the years.

A few years ago, I directed an eastern hunter to a Miles City-area rancher who had a cabin for lease. The eastern hunter subsequently emailed me to thank me for my assistance in connecting them to this rancher, they had a memorable antelope hunt for the ages, and they were very happy to find milescity.com where someone with knowledge would help them plan their dream vacation.

So.....bite me.

If I were going fishing I would use big dry bugs. The fact that I was able to use a double entendre is of a secondary consequence. Not meaning to be a smartass at all. Oh... and I will be 52 at the end of the month.

Ahhh...I think this is the only place in the entire world I can be pissed and happy at the very same moment. All this site does is make me confused at whose side I'm on anymore. Are there sides? Why do I have to take a side or maybe I don't?? Anyone else on here share my thoughts, or am I seriously headed towards the looney bin compliments of mc.com?

BigDryBugs, I too recommend the cranks. Have had pretty decent luck with a jointed JSR-5 baby bass series.

I personally favor the live minnow on the chartreuse floating jighead.

But that's just me.

There is a fishing seminar on fishing the Yellowstone tomorrow in Rosebud, I'm not sure what time. But the guy putting it on is in the Walleye Hall of Fame and has fished this river for a long time. You could probably meet a few people there that could tell you what's hitting good right now also.

Oh and Jason just think of this site as the Junior High of the internet. You have to be cool to post here or possibly suffer ridicule and snide remarks.

Lucky Bethel is the fishing instructors name. He has a video, 'The Riverbox Dance'. Very helpful for the fishing impaired, though it doesn't focus much on bank fishing.

I do believe he will be focusing more on bank fishing during his saturday class.

I encourage attendance.
