There used to be quite a few in Miles City, including the folks who built the Montana Theater. I am attempting to local relatives, particularly anyone related to Dannoll Knudson, who was a teenager in the late 1920's. Someone has found some drawings of hers and would like to pass them to family.

I think there is a Pete Knudson in the Livingston area that is from Miles City. He may know something.

Do you have any other names associated with this particular one? My uncle was Harold Knudson. He and his brother Emil were part owners of the Mint Bar.

This is totally off topic, but this family name caused me lots of teasing when I first moved to Irvine, CA for graduate school. Growing up here, I learned to pronounce the "k," where it is silent in SoCal.

Sounds like SoCal is full of Scandinavian-hating heathens.

At age 85 my memory is not the best, but I think that the family who owned the Montana and Liberty theaters spelled their name with a T, not a D. " Knutson"
