Cat - Griz

It's time for our predictions on this years game.
I've got the Cats 48 - 20. Probably close early, being a rivalry game and all, but the Cats will pull away for a big win.
Who ya got?

The Griz have made me feel nostalgic this year. When I went to UofM
in the seventies they had a losing season every year and never beat the Cats.

Oh how quickly do we forget last year's pounding...I believe the kitties were #1 in the nation at the time????

So this year, they are number 2...

Prediction: Cats 34 Grizzlies 38

Why don't they have a bronze sheep for a trophy?

Really great football game. The Cats defense won that game. Damn I am happy!

In reality, the Griz should have won 17-16. An overthrow in the end zone on a sure TD in the first quarter, and a missed FG. Congrats to the Cats. Great FB game.

I love those comments. If only this or only that. If only JJ hadn't been accused of rape, if only Moore hadn't sprained is ankle, if only the griz kicker didn't suck, etc... Bottom line, the Cats beat the griz today in a hard fought game. At least there were no fumbles on the two yard line for griz fans to complain about for an entire year. The only bad call in favor of the Cats was a missed pass interference shortly after the half. And no guarantee that pass would have been completed. Deal with it griz fans, your team lost.

Ike, did you not say?-
"In reality, the Griz should have won"

Missed field goals VS. made field goals- game over.

You fellows do not realize the depths of despair mule train is in right now.

Sort of like Levi Forman after the election.

Oh, wait....I already posted a snarky response to Levi on an0ther thread.

Well....carry on.

The Cats are a fine team. They should go far in the playoffs. Good luck Kittens.

As far as the Griz go. [shake my head] I can only hope they started looking for a new coach to rebuild the program. Griz football is in a sad state of affairs.

Being a die-hard Cat fan, this would be the perfect opportunity for me to gloat. Not gonna do it. The game runs in cycles, and the griz have been at the top of the cycle for over 25 years. Considerably longer than the usual stay at or near the top. I can tell you this. If this years griz team was in the playoffs, they would certainly win a game or two. It's a much better football team than their record indicates. The fall from grace has been rapid and harsh, as that fall usually is. Your stroll away from glory will be short. The griz will be a thorn in the side of the Big Sky again, and it won't take long to get back there.
No matter the sport, or the school, there is never a "birthrite" to be the best. When griz nation realizes that, the recovery can begin, and the low points in the cycle will be much easier to deal with.

Denarius is such a hard working classy person. This is a great picture. I have it on Facebook too with a little story that goes with it. I love watching the Cats and the Griz and Montana is so lucky to have a team in the playoffs again this year. Good luck to the Cats. Thanks for sharing this picture.
