Question. Does anyone here have a source for rhubarb? I swear I could find cocaine easier than rhubarb. I need some for my Thanksgiving pie.

Also, I need it shipped to California, and pretty fast so it stays good. I will pay pretty good for it. Like I said, it's like crack.

Please help me out if you can. Thank you.

p.s- If it's like out of season or something just let me know. You don't have to be a smart ass just because I don't know.

It is out of season here. We have been dumped on and have freezing weather. It seems like your Trader Joe stores might have it and you would be more apt to find it in CA. There is an outside chance that someone may have some in their freezer. Good luck.

Check your local Asian market if you have one. If they have groceries they may have everything and then some.

Does it need to be fresh? You might be able to find in the freezer section with the rest of the frozen fruit.

Rhubarb is a spring plant, very early spring, so making a fall pie with it may be a problem. I'd check the frozen section.

Smiley...I went to amazon.com and typed in Rhubarb and this is what I found. Don't faint when you see the cost of nice raw rhubarb. Some potential is the jar of Rhubarb pie filling???

Perhaps some other member of the Polygonaceae family such as Rumex crispus would work as a substitute.

I know certain health food stores sell it frozen. You may be able to request that they order it. I know one brand that sells it is Stahlbush Island. I would advertise locally first that you are looking for it, try Craigslist maybe, and if no luck then try the special order at the health food store.

Really? You can get Rhubarb in November? I haven't seen it in the stores here in Denver.
