Does anyone know when/if Skyfall will be at the Montana?

When it shows up. We get a schedule but it is very much 'subject to change.' Sometimes the schedule says one thing and another movie shows up.

I didn't work this Saturday so I didn't find out what we are hoping for. I want to see Bacon Caramel Corn for Skyfall and make mega-bucks.

How about Cloud Atlas? Is that going to play in MC? I saw it this weekend, and it's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG, but good.

I suspect that's a movie for the film festival.

Saw Argo this weekend. I'm not a big fan of Ben Affleck but this is a great movie.

So does anyone have a clue about when Skyfall might be coming to the Montana Theater, yet?

Two weeks at least. We are opening Twilight tomorrow and have to run it a minimum of two weeks. Sorry, Richard, but teenagers eat more than adults.

Saw Skyfall opening weekend in Helena. Well worth the wait. Javier Bardem is probably the best Bond - Villain to date.

Sadly, another week of Twilight. I'll try to find out on Saturday what is up next.

"Twilight" played for 3 weeks? You have one movie theater and it's tied up for 3 weeks playing a single movie?

The studio controls the length of time you have to run a film if you open it. We have no choice on the matter. Believe me, we would NOT be running Twilight three weeks if we didn't have to. The owner tried to get us a waiver or allow us to run a another film as a first feature during the third week but the contracts are set up for multiplexes, not those last few single screens in the world.

If all goes according to plan, Skyfall opens on Friday but after that, we aren't sure if we'll open the Hobbit (and have to run it for three weeks) or if we can squeeze in something else and the have the Hobbit over Christmas.

We made a fortune the first two weeks on the Twilight movie (teenagers eat A LOT) but the last week has been dead.

OH, and Life of Pi will come out in 2-D. There were rumors at first that it would be a 3-D only release but apparently someone with a brain cell at the studio realized that was a bad idea. Don't know if we'll get it, mind you. So many movies are released this time of year and so many of them have those blasted required run contracts.

If anyone has half a million or so lying around, you could give it to us and we could make the Montana into a twin. There is is room but it would be just a tad pricey.

Not great attendance tonight but perhaps the FFA Formal and the Fireman's Toy Dance and the bitterly cold weather had an effect. I hope to see it Monday night.

Last chance to see it here in Miles City is tonight! WOW. A MUST SEE for Bond fans. Fabulous, fabulous movie. Daniel Craig is great as James Bond, even if his ears stick out.

WHAT! It's not going to be there Friday night? I have meetings tonight, so I guess I will have to see it when it comes out on DVD. Seems strange that it isn't there for more than 1 weekend but the last movie was there for three weekends.

The owners were going to have it as the second show for a second week but attendance was terrible. Eight to twelve people per night. So it was sent on for Rise of the Guardians. Hobbit probably won't come until after Christmas. The three week contracts necessary for opening a show are killing us. The first two weeks are great and then we have nobody there. We are reduced to counting the popcorn kernels.

The next movie I'm looking forward to see is "Django Unchained"...the trailer for it they showed at the Bond movie looked great.

Lots of good movies coming out....new "Diehard", Arnold's back, even the new Iron Man movie looked good, based on the trailers. I think Skyfall was the first movie I went to all year. I'm looking forward to a better 2013. Adios, weepy vampire movies.

Seriously, good movie. Don't know why it isn't bringing in the crowds. No sparkly vampires and angst-ridden werewolves, I guess.
