I had the good fortune of visiting civilization this weekend. We started with an outstanding meal at the 519. I had one of the best steaks I have eaten in quite some time. The cut was tender, flavorful and required almost no trimming. Hats off the cook and staff at the 519.

As an encore, Gallaghers supplied the breakfast. Again the eggs benedict was amazing.

It is getting increasingly hard to find a really good meal. These two restaurants did an outstanding job and deserve an atta boy.

Thanks for taking the time to post this, Steve Z. Its good to find others enjoying the fine fare offered in MC.

I really get tired of reading the anti-MC restaurant comments, as more than often, it turns out to be an ex-employee, or family member, complaining with upon further analysis, turns out to be pure whining.

Good to see actual comments!

IS there new management at 4Bees? The last few times I was in there it looked like they had been changing motor oil on the carpet between the back and the center cleaning station.

Although Each time I was there they treated us really good, and the food was excellent.

There is a new manager at 4 B's. The carpet was clean and either they scrubbed walls or did some painting!

I believe 4B's is getting new carpet. Just gotta find a good time to have the store closed to put it in. (: Not sure of this is the plan anymore, but it's been the discussion a few times. New blinds! And now they have blue uniforms. (:

4B's needs more than new carpet and blinds. They need a whole renovation.

Perhaps with new management, 4B's will return to the 24 hour format. They used to be great when the bars closed.

Problem is finding help. Look at any place in town. They are desperately trying to find workers. Trying to find nightshift is even harder.

Other problem is it will be torn down as soon as the federal government funds the improvements on that interchange. Which was scheduled to be in a couple of years but with the current mess. . . So putting money into a building that may be torn down in two years or ten or never is tricky. Will it be open long enough to recover the cost?

We have a group who go out to eat once a week.We choose a different restaurant every week. All of our restaurants offer something for everyone! We all like different food and the variety at all of the restaurants in town makes it easy. I personally wish they offered more vegetables instead of just a salad, but this is "meat and potatoes" country so I am OK with it. The Montana Steakhouse and the 519 both offer steamed veggies and I believe the Rib and Chop does too. I am friends with 2 of our local cooks and know how difficult it is for the restaurants to find good help. We get wonderful care at both the 600 and the Boardwalk and more food than a person can eat at all the establishments! The prices are low in comparison with other parts of the country. So if you dine in one of Miles City's establishments, just remember that they do the best they can. If you don't get the best service, keep in mind that the changeover in some of the restaurants makes it tough. I have had a new waitress dump a tray of drinks on me and have had overcooked meat, etc... but try to be understanding. Maybe the waitress is new or perhaps the cook is new. It's a tough business, trying to satisfy hungry people!
