Was there a Cigar Store on Main Street next to the Liberty theater in the late 30's or early 40's? Dorothy

Nope. It was O'Connors, on the corner of Eighth and Main. Grant's was on Main St. next to the Range Riders.

Hi, My father {now 94 years old and still living in his own home} was working in O'Connel's during the early 1930's. He still talks about it. Les Snavely, Milwaukee RR history man.

Why am I remembering O'Connors in a different place -- like where Mitchell's Abstract office is?

Because it moved and was located where Security Abstract was later, in our childhood.
