Miles City Fire Rescue would announce a LIFE SAVED BY SMOKE DETECTORS. Last night (9-22) at 21:50pm MCFR responded to another house fire this week (3 in 4 days). A resident at 822 Silver Sage was awoke by the sound of smoke detectors in the home as it was filling with smoke. The resident exited the home and called 911. MCFR responded and was able to extinguish the fire with limited damage. 16 Firefighters and 5 apparatus responded. Damage is estimated at around $3000, cause of the fire is electrical.

Good job fire fighters!! That little damage is amazing and means quick response and careful work on scene.

You Firefighters and Medics are speedy, efficient responders and, though you are lacking the credit you deserve, are among the most valuable assets this community is honored to have.....THANK YOU!
