everyone was out safely thanks to smoke detectors. fire was under control quickly with no injuries to occupant or fire fighters. MCFR responded quickly and information was provided through "facebook" on thier web site.
Miles City Fire Rescue would announce a LIFE SAVED BY SMOKE DETECTORS. Last night (9-22) at 21:50pm MCFR responded to another house fire this week (3 in 4 days). A resident at 822 Silver Sage was awoke by the sound of smoke detectors in the home as it was filling with smoke. The resident exited the home and called 911. MCFR responded and was able to extinguish the fire with limited damage. 16 Firefighters and 5 apparatus responded. Damage is estimated at around $3000, cause of the fire is electrical.
