I think I worry more that there can be consumers for the small businesses. The small businesses have been recipients of help from this administration. Some of what is going on reminds me so much of when Pres. Roosevelt was in office and having to fight to help people get off the ground. Thankfully, he held strong to some very good ideas for programs. I just read an article about moving from "Myth into Reality"...sure seems to be true:-)

How much debit can we carry before it worries you ? If we raise taxes on anyone making $250,000 or more the small business owner gets hit hard.

Three things:

(1) What the procreate is debit?

(2) A smart "small business owner" will set up a C corporation or an LLC, run a bunch of personal expenses through said corp, and pay himself a reasonable salary. It's amazing what constitutes a deductible expense these days. Problem solved.

(3) A stupid "small business owner," like Joe The Plumber (who never really owned a business), is stupid. Therefore, they don't make more than $250,000 because they're stupid.

Debt, sorry if you can not figure out what I meant with my typo. Call out the other cheerleaders to pat you on the back. Bridgier, maybe you should be worried about the family farm. Oh that is right, you can just go get your food from a grocery store. No one needs the family farm, hell lets put them all on welfare and turn the farmers land into a park. Lets give them healthcare, welfare checks, a house, and anything else they might want. The rich will be glad to pay for it. That is until they figure out it is easier to receive than have to work and give. If you are so jealous of the rich....start a business and you can give all you want. I will be on the golf course trying to break Obama's record of how many rounds you can play in a year. Thanks all for opening up my eyes.....I am voting democrat from now on out. So no nasty remarks back as I am one of you now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poverty is not earned, or chosen or deserved. There are Six Million people in the US who are suffering from poverty. For some, their only income is Food Stamps. Because of the massive cuts to welfare, there are no welfare checks for many. They may be stuck at home caring for special needs people, or elderly, etc. who may, otherwise, be institutionalized if there was a place to go. So many circumstances.

I read an article today by a gentleman who was a "Rockefeller Republican" and, he said that he has left today's Republican party and has taken a hard trip into reality. He said the feeling wasn't, "I feel your pain", it was "I celebrate my gain". Just sharin".

Sorry, Bob, but I have to correct you. The tax rate for C Corporations is 30%, most self-employed folks pay much less. Perhaps you mean an S-Corporation? It allows you to claim a "reasonable" salary and avoid self-employment tax on the rest. An LLC is not a separate entity for tax purposes. A sole proprietorship, a partnership and an S-corp can all be LLC's.

An smart small business owners will not attempt to run personal expenses through their business. The IRS takes a dim view of that and audits those types of returns more frequently. There are lots of legitimate business expenses, no need to fudge the numbers.

Ever hear of "Cost of Goods Sold?"

For someone who dreams of fellating the free market as much as tax_payer does, he seems to have a strange blind spot for the "family farm"

What's the business case for this particular model tp? Why should we reflexively consider it to be an intrinsic good?

Teacher strikes = local issue
Debt = minor issue until economy is corrected through further stimulus, then needs to be addressed.

Really, tax dodger....I have been preaching the same mantra here at mc.com for the last 4-5 years...don't you ever read my posts?

Like tax dodger, CBS apparently doesn't understand how the economy works.

Or could it be that tax dodger misrepresented or misunderstood what he saw on CBS?

Who is advising Mitt with his campaign? Half the time he looks bewildered. God forbid, he's listening to Sarah Palin. Even Peggy Noonan has started criticizing him. He may know how to run Bain and hide his money overseas , but it's very apparewnt that's all he knows

And that's why Romney's letting his inner Monty Burns out so much lately - he's got to attack to pick up voters.

Unfortunately, that makes him look like an even dick than everybody already thought that he was, and so he's entered the "got to foul to get the ball back" phase of the game. That usually doesn't work so well in college basketball, maybe it will work for Rmoney here.

Oh who am I kidding? Everyone hates mittens, even the people who might vote for him. JOHNSON 2012!!!!

Mr. Obama prefers to read the security briefings, as did Mr. Clinton before him.

Since Mr. Bush was too procreateing lazy and stupid to read, he preferred to have meetings instead. If Mr. Bush would have paid attention at these meetings, perhaps 9/11 could have been prevented.

Just to let you know, you Mittens supporters aren't going to be winning any undecided voters over with your 3rd grade posts. You should try to debate the facts like informed adults.

Facts???? They don`t call them demo-facts , they are called demo-crat.

I like how obama`s campaign came unglued when a poll showed Romney leading by 4 points. The poll company was threatened by obama`s campaign. I do not know where to find it , it was in the news after it cooled off.

"SD", please read again my post that is right above yours in this thread.

I am sure you can find it, if you work at it.

Another interesting tidbit....why do all the anti-Obama crowd on this site never post by their own true names? Are they afraid that their friends and family will recognize them here as redneck racists?

We progressives do welcome healthy debate, as our minds and thought processes always remain open. Please contribute to a meaningful conversation.
