How much rain did everyone get last night.

I live out at Bergerson Ranchettes and we received 5 1/10"s in around an hour. We received a little hail along with high winds.
The winds blew from on direction, than let up, than blew from the other direction.

Five and one-tenth inches of rain in an hour?

Someone post a pic of the flooded underpass, please.

We also live in Bergerson Ranchettes and it was scary windy and rain was coming down in all directions! We don't have a rain gauge, but I believe milestown. We have friends that got 1.5in. in Kinsey.

OK, 5.1" does seem like a lot for an hour... but I know so much rain came down so fast that it didn't have time to soak in and places that I didn't even realize could hold water were.

I drove around the ranchettes and the water ran over the roads in several places and one spot the county repaired two years ago needs some repair again, spots in the road are sinking.

5.1"s of rain is correct by my gauge.

Our gauge measured 0.17" in the valley.

I guess that explains why the airplane I was in felt like a bucking horse as it flew over SE Montana last night en route from San Francisco to Frankfurt.

HA! INCORRECTO! (Sorry folks, but she is incorrect so seldom that I have to take my opportunities as they come. It might be another 20 years.)

You felt like like you were on a bucking horse because there were momentary points in flight where drag and gravity were overcoming thrust and lift.

Whatever - the drag and gravity overcame thrust and lift in SE Montana at the same time I was flying above and the thunderstorm was going on below. It was smooth flying the entire way except for that point in time.

We live 3 1/2 miles out in the valley and we received 1" and 4 tenths. What a nice rain. Lots of wind and lightening and thunder.
Very little hail.

Off topic, but is "Yellowstone Hill" the same thing we used to call "airport hill"? I had never heard of yellowstone hill before and I've heard it twice in the last week now. Maybe I'm just out of it too.
