For those posting to the Wal-Mart thread - watch this clip, ask yourself "how'd we get here?", and start walking it back. And, please, try to keep in mind that those working the store are caught in the same trap as frustrated shoppers.

It is so very difficult to bring about change in a myopic society. I liken the Walton graph to the Ben and Jerry's cookie analogy http://www.youtube.com/wa...sOIe5Ql0v8. The very simplicity of illustrations like this should be enough to make anyone give pause and reflect on the direction we have taken as a society.

It seems as if there are far to many lines drawn in the sand. You are either with me or you are wrong. What do we need to start a dialog? How do we bring about change in a nation divided into camps? Has it become easier for people to take there cue from the pulpit, party affiliation, or network? I hope not. I put partial blame on the two party system, corporate influence and campaign funding.

I admire your dedication and effort to post information on public forums that you are passionate about. wouldn't it be nice to see this thread turn into a dialog and not a pissing contest.

It took two heart attacks for me to lose seventy pounds and make the changes in my diet and life style so that I may continue to function efficiently. I hope it doesn't take a disaster for our country to do the same.
