Its true.. Somewhere between Stower and Comstock. I know that when i drove past this evening it was down to the ground.. Not sure what happened or started it.
It was set on fire on purpose as a training session for the fire fighters. Someone donated their home for the training. I don't know the circumstances as to why they would do that with their home, rather than sell it. I don't know who owned it.
It was donated to the fire department for training purposes. I guess, the house was pretty much in need of repairs in various aspects that it was more financially feasible to tear it down and build something new. In this case, tearing it down went to donating it.
I saw the Star photographer there so the full story and pics most likely will in the paper come Monday. Here is some pics to hold you till then:
As being an ex NY firefighter, it was an excellant tool for the fire department personnel to use to hone and develope skills in the unselfish endeavor of risking their lives for others. Kudos for the owners!!!!
Miles City Fire Rescue with members of CCRVFD conducted a live fire training drill at 704 South Stacy.
The house was donated by John and Raelee Hollowell. For the past two months MCFR has been using the house for fire ground support operation trainings and interior rescue training.
Thank you so much to the Hollowell family for providing the emergency responders of the community with such a rare and valuable training opportunity!
