I thought something should be said about Caleb Frare getting drafted to the New York Yankees, I don't have a copy of the link for it but it was on the KTVQ website at the bottom of the article regarding the Billings Scarlets player being drafted by the Atlanta Braves, good job Caleb and to the Frare family.

Does anyone know how many Montana kids get drafted into MLB in a typical year?

In 2011 I can only think of Ben Roberts from Missoula, but he turned down the offer and is now playing for Washington State University. But this year has been a good one, I have played with 3 people who have been drafted so far from Montana. Caleb Frare (11th Round). Jusin Black from Billings West, plays for the Scarlets.(4th Round) The third is Andrew Sopko from Missoula, (14th Round). I do not know of any other players who are expected to go tomorrow in the last 25 rounds from Montana.

Way to go Caleb!! It's great to see MC kids get recognized on an national level and Caleb is a great, hard working kid. Good luck Caleb.

Our Grandson got to meet Caleb in Florida where they played in the USSSA Games and we heard what a great player he is. Congrats to Caleb!!! Wonderful news.

Any updates on Caleb Frare with the NY Yankees? I have heard he is doing well. One would think the MC Star would update on a Miles City native in the MiLB......what a great accomplishment. Best of luck.

Caleb Frare has been promoted to the Charleston RiverDogs by the NY Yankees. Pitching well I hear. Have to look online. Can't find anything in the Star. Congratulations to the local young man!
