Classes of '48, '49, & '50
Posted by Pat Wickersham (+5) 16 years ago
I haven't heard of a reunion since the 50th. I am still at the same address for the last 31 years. I would like to hear from some of you.
Thanks to Johnnie Thomas for informing me of this web site. She is a remarkable person.

Hello Pat Wickersham, You and I played football under Bob Jauron.
As I recall you played guard or tackle. I played halfback.
I would hope that someone could get a reunion together for the 48 49 and 50 classes. An old friend Bob Jacobson

Do you remember a King (Kenny) H. Choy? He is my father and I have a reunion book from 1963, saying he was the class of 48. He actually left early from High School, drafted into the Army, served in the Philippines, then came back to Miles City to finish high school in 1948. I am planning to come to Miles City to retrace his roots, and wanted to know more about his life there in Miles City. His father, my grandfather owned a restaurant. My dad died in 1992. I was also named after his school teacher, Mrs. Kathryn Lockwood, who taught the first grade? My dad came over from China at 15 and was put into a first grade class to learn English. Mrs. Lockwood helped him by tutoring him so he could get to his grade level. I was named after her. The story is she was a devout Christian woman from the United Methodist Church there, and later my dad was also baptized there.

Long story, but I am an American Baptist minister.

If you have the reunion book perhaps you could list the class members. That way if anyone has any info they could post it here.

Hello Pat and Bob,Thom Rich here. Good to hear from you, not many of us left that had the opportunity to share those "Golden hours" spent on the dusty field behind CCHS. Last time I was in Miles City, I had a long talk with Tommy Zook(It was Bo Laird's funeral)and Tom Kenny was there too. Any way, it's nice to know a few of us are still kicking that had the honor of playing under the best coach ever.

Hi Guys: I didn't play football, but did go to school with all of you, class of '49. Seems like these classes are going fast, so if we wanted to have a reunion we should do it soon. There are a few of us left here in Miles City. Bob Swanson had a complete list of all the names, but he is gone now. The list is still available. Let me know. Helen Hagedorn
