Running in Miles City
Posted by gauger (+10) 11 years ago
Are there any 5K, 10K, or half marathons taking place this summer in Miles City? If so, when are they and how do I register? I'm new to town and looking for some runs. Thanks!

Actually, we have something much better in Miles City called the Triangulon. It is a sprint competition from the Bison to the Trails Inn to the Montana and then back to the Bison. At each stopping point, one consumes a shot before charging to the next station. For variety, one can run the course in multiple configurations. The winner receives the coveted "Isausolege Award".

How many Triangulons have you run Richard?

I thought you might suggest running down Main Street before the horses in a few weeks!

Not as many as Bobby K or several others, who will remain anonymous.

In Billings there's something called "Peaks to Prairies". Not sure if it's still around, It's a bike, run, kayak event that goes from Red Lodge to Coulson Park in Billings. I covered it for the news once, all I saw were teams though.

You might also check with the athletic dept. at Miles Community College as well as Red Rock Sport or Universal Athletics.

You could jog a Kinsey or cemetery loop.

The hospital has a 5k every year but don't know when it is as I no longer live there and haven't run it in a long while. Otherwise you pretty much have to drive. The nearest marathon was in Billings last I checked.
