This grocery store, the one Leighton Blvd, had its grand opening on April 14, 1962 and offered as a prize, five yards of Aloca Aluminum Fabric, the Fabric of the 70s. The lucky winner would receive five yards, get to pick out the pattern and have it made up for her because, let's face, very few seamstresses in Miles City could sew aluminum.

I wonder who won and what ever happened to that aluminum dress?

That would be Mrs. Reynolds who intended a wrap style dress. Unfortunately, there was an error in the simplicity pattern she was using and the plan was foil..ed. So she sold the remaining material to Mrs. Freese and it became Armorette for Amorette
