when you post on MC.COM, one benefit you have, is the chance to increase your vocabulary...One of my favorite teachers is Bridgier as he sends me to my dictionary more often than not with his posts..For that I thank you Bridgier, as you keep me on my toes... :-)

I try to keep my audience in mind when I post here. See Jane run. Run, Jane, run.

Company on this thread excluded, of course.

The audience is everything, that's for sure.
I just learned a totally new word. Moran.
If I wasn't paying attention I might have sounded really stupid trying to correct something that I actually didn't know about.
Close call!

Are you saying I should feel really stupid?

No, not at all.
I'm saying that it's funny how things work around here.
Nothing about you at all. If you wouldn't have said it, I wouldda.

One of those things where you gotta be around long enough to get. Until yesterday I had no idea about that, and now I do.

Apparently 'obfuscate' is another one of those inside jokes between the veterans of mc.com.
It was nice of Howdy to explain that about 'moran' yesterday, as clearly it's usually a term only some can appreciate being used.
Now more can, and that's a good thing.

I hate to be the voice of antidisestablishmentarianism, but it's often a good idea to spend some time reading a forum before you begin posting, if you wish to make a good first impression.

I have read the forum for 5 years, not daily but often.
Obviously making a good first impression isnt as big of a priority to some as it is to others.

Oops. I wasn't referring to you specifically, Jane. Sorry about the confusion.

I was mostly just trying to use antidisestablishmentarianism in a sentence because it's the vocabulary thread.

Oh Levi, you are so obsequious.

For those of you that never had the opportunity to be mentored by coach Bo Laird, he would immediately teach ever player the words obsequious and myopia.

Then he would follow that every day with a new vocabulary word of the day. If you tore your meniscus or your ACL you would soon learn those words from him as well.

I think Levi just wants to practice his sesquipedalianism.

sesquipedalianism obfuscates pellucidity
