Not a Patriots fan and really don't like the Massholes from the greater Boston area.

Having said that, their Tebow chant in the 2nd half made me smile...

Dear Tim,
You can have your relationship with Jesus all you want. God (Belichick) said, "Sit down Son, I've got this one!" lol sighhhh

That being said, no one thought you'd be there in the first place, so job well done Mr Tebow. No offense (ha ha that's quite the play on words) to Tim or the rest of the Bronco's faithful but I'm looking forward to a few months removed from "Tebow Mania".

I will be interested to see how he comes back next fall after a full offseason of workouts, training camps, etc etc. If Elway really does take him under his wing, this could be the start of something really good. Not to say he's 2nd coming of Elway, but he did blow Elway's first season out of the water from a statistical standpoint so there's always hope.

Come to think of it, last night's score looked a lot like any Bronco's Superbowl score from the '80's. Just a thought!

I'd hate to hear what Denver sports talk radio sounded like after that Pats game. I bet it wasn't too kind to Mr. Tebow.

I really think that Pittsburgh came into Denver with a terrible defensive game plan. Any quarterback can complete passes if they are facing 9 or 10 men in the box.

I wondered toward the end of the Pats game if the Broncos were wishing that they had lost to Pittsburgh (which no one would have faulted them for) in a close game and avoided the humiliation in New England. If Tim wanted to know how you play quarterback in the NFL, he got a heck of a demonstration on Saturday night.

Whatever they do next year, I think the media is going to continue to love to talk about TT.

Actually the way I saw it, the O line must have given it their all against Pittsburgh because they werem't evem present in the New England game. I also thought the coaching was horrible on both sides of the ball. I get the idea of "if we run the ball it keeps Brady off the field", but obviously with nothing to show for that after the 1st quarter, a change would be in order. In Tebow's defense, they had only left him have 6 pass attempts 6 minutes into the 3rd quarter. Mind you they were still down by 20+ points. I'm not sure how you go from 20 yards a pass the game before against the #1 defense, to not passing at all against the #31 defense.

Good news is, Fox and Elway announced today that until further notice, Tebow is named the starter for next season. Bring on the offseason and please please please..... TEACH HIM MR. ELWAY!

Turbo had a great game on Saturday, it was the coaches' fault.

If Turbo sucks next year, it will obviously be Mr. Ed's fault as well. Turbo is perfect and can do no wrong.

Yeah and when "Turbo" does even better then he did this year, all the haters will still have the educated response of "he still sucks."

Turbo had a guy named Urban Meyer coaching him in college.

Maybe you've heard of him?

Turbo better improve next year, his 2011 QBR was 32nd out of 34 rated quarterbacks.

Can't find the QBR rankings. Curiously, ESPN (inventor of the QBR) has 2011 passer ratings. Link:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/st...asontype/2

Our Savior Turbo was 28th out of 34 in passer rating, just ahead of Gross Rexman.

Dick Palmer was 19th, far ahead of Turbo.

Neck Beard was 24th.

Traveled down here to Kansas last week, got into Co. and there was a sports talk show on, and they weren't really negative about him. More like cautiously optimistic for him next season, with a full pre-season and all..

as a side note... I know I made a few posts on the "2011 Broncos" thread stating that the 49ers were gonna go to the Superbowl. Let's just say that I won't eat the WHOLE crow, maybe just a foot... but what a great and fun year for them.

2013 Superbowl... Niners.. of course

A week later is too late, you have to listen to the people who are still drunk and stuck in traffic on the way home from the game. Maybe it's not this way everywhere but in San Francisco there was a good hour-long orgy of callers just spewing forth bile on the radio after just about every 49ers loss and after a humiliation like the broncos got from new england there would have been a chorus of people demanding the head of not only the quarterback but the coach, the owner, and all of the wide receivers and offensive linemen if they let them stay on the air that long.

Well unlike the Broncos who just got a good ol' fashioned butt whoopin at the hands of the Pats, the 49'ers really did beat themselves I think. Same old story, "if you take away the turnovers..." yada yada yada. That game was proof positive of that because to me it looked like they outplayed Eeyore and the Wineants in every aspect of the game. Defemse usually wins championships but not when you keep giving the other team the ball! lol

The good news is, I think this was just the start of a good long playoff run for the 49'ers! (And the Texans!)

Well since Richard hasn't done it, I thought it time to get this thread back on the main board where it belongs

Opinions thus far with training camp fast approaching...

1. Manning is an "interesting" scenario that I reserve the right to see how it plays out before laying claim to anything related to playoffs and/or Superbowl

2. Even though he's a Jet now, I will still follow Tebow and expect him to be remarkably better then last year. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting by week 6.

3. Dumerville you dumbass! Get your chit together

4. Demaryius Thomas could be a fantasy football God this year with Manning throwing to him.

5. I am SOOOOO ready for football again!!!

Chris, I started to find this thread the other day and got distracted.

1. Manning will be awesome.

2. Tim Who?

3. I agree. Keeping some of our defense out of jail appears to be a challenge.

4. When your team is as good as the Broncos will be this year you don't need "fantasies".

5. I agree... LET'S PLAY FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want Tebow mania, go to New York. If you want Peyton Manning mania, come to Denver. Although we have not seen Manning on his knees yet, I was impressed with the way he went to the Aurora hospital to comfort the injured and the bereaved. I am more impressed with that than public displays of piety.

Now if they can keep him in one piece.

Denver will be good, maybe real real good. The defense got little credit for "Tebow's Wins" last year. They must be doing something right.

I predict a playoff year but have the 9'ers/Texans in the big show. Sorry Pack I bet on you all the way last year and you let me down

I hope Denver goes 8-8 and misses the playoffs.

Then the idiot portion of the Bronco fan base will claim that Turbo is a better QB than Manning because Turbo is "a winner."

In fact, I bet you'll hear it if Denver loses to Pitt on Sunday night. "Turbo threw for 316 yards, Manning sucks!"

That will be the best!

Broncos win the AFC, play the Packers or Cowboys in the Superbowl.

Romo is playing good... in fact he can stay in the pocket longer than a Tim Tebow condum.

I picked the Giants on Wednesday, because I forgot that Romo is essentially a giant lizard-person - it's still pretty warm out, so he's going to play well. Of course, once December rolls around and the torpor sets in...

After watching the game tonight I think I'll stick with "Oh, I think he'll be alright!"

He's not the biggest, he's not the fastest, and he's not the strongest, but he's still damn sure the smartest player on that side of the football

So long as we don't have to play the Saints and their "bounty program" he should be fine lol

Peyton Manning is back. I'm not a Broncos fan but I am a Peyton fan so I liked seeing him back to his old self. We'll see if he can say healthy. If he does I think the Broncos future looks bright.

Couldn't be happier with the way my 49ers looked at Lambeau yesterday. I don't think that the Packer's offense has gone downhill, I think the SF D is just really tough. My favorite part was how they would keep trying to run from time to time and got 9 attempts for 18 yards. There is not really anywhere tougher that they could have gone to kick off the season and they came out firing on all cylinders and dominated on both sides of the ball.

Who is this Bob Griffin dudde?

What happened to Mike Vick?

I certainly hope the real refs come back soon. I think that they have made their point that they can't just be replaced easily. I agree with Jim Harbaugh's reaction to the interim officials.

I'm sure Turbo would have been a better QB than Manning, though. Denver would likely be 6-0, at worst 5-1 this year with Turbo.

Turbo is a winner.

As a sometimes Jet fan (it's like rooting for the 'Cats, only the inevitable defeat is somehow less glorious), I have found myself hoping (usually on a third and short) that they give the ball to tebow.

And then I die a little inside.

Please don't bother procreating yourself on my account Bob.

I did enjoy the second half of that game. Philip Rivers has the same sort of whiney-boy pouty-face that Tony Romo has.

Yep, Peyton Manning looks awfully good. I wish the Iggles would have dropped Vick and gone after him.

I did like seeing Tebow as the holder on the field goal. Gives an added twist of adding the fake to it! The Jets should try and trade for "Fatboy Janikowski" from the Raiders. Are they kicking a 60 yd. field goal, or is Tebow going to pass it? Uhhhh I mean run it

OUCH!

I don't understand the play calling the last two minutes of regulation. Why have Peyton procreatein' Manning as the QB and call plays that Tebow ran last year??? It was a great season that will leave a very sour taste in my mouth for a long time. Very much like 1996 when we choked against the Jags.

Time for some NASCAR!

Agreed. Who thought Joe Flacco could beat the Broncos by throwing the ball? Not even his mother thought that could happen. I like Joe, but he is a game manager, not a gunslinger that you can count on to win one for ya. And was it just me, or did every pass Manning throw look like a wounded duck? He just wasn't very sharp tonight. The first pick was not his fault, but the second, and many other passes he threw were ill advised. He got away with lots of sub-par throws tonight. Great season, but it could have been an epic finish in New Orleans. They should be much better next year.

I concur with Bob and Matt. My thoughts watching that game was, "Champ Bailey should be the one retiring, instead of Ray Lewis."

Posted by Chris Gamrath (+383) 10 years ago
It wasn't too hard to see that Champ needed help on Torrey Smith. Champ is still a great cover corner but he by no means has the legs to keep up with Torrey one on one. I'm betting even he is willing to admit that now. They were so worried about getting beat by the run ( which to me seems odd given the year) that they tried to let the safety help with that instead of helping Champ out. We developed some great YOUNG talent in the secondary this year, though they looked like a team that had had a week off and were out of sync. Raheem Moore's last play at the end of regulation aside, I'm excited to see him and Adams, and Harris again nezt season. That said and no offense to Champ but I'd hope he's going to end it on a high note sometime soon and Denver lands another younger version of him in the draft, or free agency this off season.

For all the lows that game brought us, the season itself was a total success given where we started back in July not knowing if Peyton could even still play. Offense is solid,(let's get Clady resigned) defense is almost there, and special teams was more exciting this year then ever before. John Fox will always be a weiner in my book for his conservative play calling, but I already knew that's who he is before he was our coach. Maybe next year Peyton will install the "you're overruled coach" play.

Well, Bronco Mania has turned into the foam stuck in an eddy off a polluted river in Weld County. I watched the first 5-10 minutes of the 1st quarter and then went to the Strawberry Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs. All of Colorado was watching that game except my wife and I, some college kids and a few Russians...needless to say, the place wasn't crowded. When i got back the hotel it was 35-28 Broncos. I'm thinking...this game is over. Then I saw teh Broncos secondary rear it's ugly head, and couldn't believe my eyes. Nor could the rest of Colorado. The hangover has DIEHARDS at work talking about not being able to watch the sport ever again. One even mentioned something about "coming over to your side" a.k.a. becoming a Raiders fan!

All I have to say is...Peyton may have sucked, but the defense blew. Broncos will have to draft someone to play safety and give up on Chump Bailey at corner.

All in all the 2012 Broncos were fun to watch. More exciting the 2011 Broncos..even with all the last minute Tebow heroics. Time for spring training.
