Those were among the BEST New Year's traditions ~ the ABSOLUTE best prime rib and shrimp!!!! And, I have some GREAT memories of playing in the band at a few of those celebrations!!

FYI, according to one "inflation calculator" I found on the Internet that $2.50 Sunday buffet would cost about $18.50 in 2011 dollars.

That answers all of my questions, except for who the heck burned it down and what, if anything, happened to him/her/it?

Frank, I don't think you want to open that can of worms.

Pat Cain and Joe Leser did the arson, they both went to jail, the owner not sure of his name, brother in law to the ex- First interstate bank President. They had a trial for him, he had a good lawyer and the two arsonist were not the best witness's against him
He got off and is living elsewhere.

He ran the place down into the ground and then burned it so as not to lose his funding.
Life always evens out, I am sure he is miserable somewhere or in jail.

Rod Walter was the owner. Here's a good description of events:

Was Pat Cain later killed in a motor cycle accident in Miles City after getting out of prison? I have vague memories of that. Does anyone know if his brother Danny is still in prison?

I believe Pat was killed in a MC vs. Semi wreck at the Broadus exit of the interstate several years back. The last time I saw Pat he was not drinking and was trying to get his stuff together, a chore equal to a duck learning to snow ski.

I have forgiven Pat for burning down the Crossroads building, I am still pissed about the memories of great family times that are fading from memory because I don't have the facility to remind me.

RIP Pat you dumb ass bastard
