Montanans Launch Recall of Senators Who Approved NDAA Military Detention. Merry Christmas, US Senate

http://www.dailykos.com/s...-US-Senate

Montana would be the first recall drive to be launched as a result of the vote for the NDAA military detentions provisions. Moving quickly on Christmas Day after the US Senate voted 86 - 14 to pass the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA) which allows for the indefinite military detention of American citizens without charge or trial, Montanans have announced the launch of recall campaigns against Senators Max Baucus and Jonathan Tester, who voted for the bill.

This is from a statement from Stewart Rhodes of Oathkeepers regarding Republican Denny Rehberg as a target of recall, who also voted for NDAA.

From the Press Release

Here in Montana, while we will go after all three violators of the Bill of Rights, I will place special emphasis and "focus of effort" on Denny Rehberg, since he is so fond of wrapping himself in the flag and claiming to be defending the Constitution while his votes do the exact opposite. In that sense, Rehberg is much like John McCain and Lindsey Graham, two Republicans who, right along with Carl Levin and Joseph Lieberman, are leading a sustained and relentless assault on our Bill of Rights.

The other day I was accosted by a Montanan who wanted me to sign a petition to get Mitt Romney on the ballot for next year's Republican primary.

I was deeply and morally offended, and I told that so-and-so what he could do with his petition.

Gunnar, if it's any consolation, "NEWT 2012" has been ringing my phone on a daily basis for weeks. Like I would donate money to ANY politician regardless of their party affiliation. Sheesh.

Fyi, the daily kos is a left wing liberal paper and only appeals to those who follow it's anti-american propaganda. Get real, under our present judicial system if a citizen is arrested and can't make bail, he stays in jail. Terrorism is an act of treason against the U.S. which is punishable by death and they should stay in jail until the case is resolved no matter how long that takes....korkyII ..no obama in 2012.

Jan,
The Daily Kos isn't any more unAmerican than you are. Get off it.

But when the time comes, Korky would be standing at the bars demanding that his habeas rights be respected.

"Unamerican" indeed.

Kelly:

Come on, now!

Korky, a Gross National Parasite and a general drain on society, is surely more of an American than a Socialist like you!

An excellent letter to the editor from noted author Jim Posewitz appeared in today's Helena Independent Record regarding noted tea bagger Denny Rehberg:

For your information Bob L, I am not and never will be a socialist, However if yu read a lot of the posts on this website the people making them do definitely sound as if they do not like our system of government and wish to change it. The same goes for a lot of our elected officials like our president for example. He is now wanting another 1.2 trillion dollar debt ceiling increase. We just went through this mess about the debt ceiling a year ago. My thinking is that if you find your sewer backing up in your basement and the basement is full, do you raise the level of the main floor to give it more room or do you start pumping the crap out......korkyII

Kork:

You need to read more carefully.

I called Kelly the Socialist.

I called you a GROSS NATIONAL PARASITE and a general drain on society.

How does government work? Korky doesn't care. He's just pissed that TEH OTHER TEAM gets to pull all the pretty levers.

Why yes korkster, we did just spend a bunch of time having a kerfluffle this summer regarding the debt limit. How was that resolved? Do you remember? What was the outcome of that process? The fact that it's chapping your sweetcheeks this morning tells me that you don't really know (in any particularly useful way) what the issue was then, or why Fox News is inciting you to care about it now.

TL;DR - Korky is easily manipulated and the franchise is wasted upon him.

You mean, government of Wall Street, by Wall Street, and for Wall Street?

Apparently certain posters on here either:

A: Don't know and don't care to understand how our government works.

or

B: Don't like Obama because he is an evil, liberal, Muslim, anti-Christ who eats babies.

Either way it's showing a vast ignorance.
