EMI project to recycle glass
Posted by Beth R. Riggs (+299) 11 years ago
EMI is applying for a grant from Pepsi Refresh. If it is funded it will bring a glass pulverizer to Miles City. Then glass can be crushed fine enough to be used for landscaping, road surfaces and counter tops. Please help by going to this link and voting for the project

Great idea. We need to recycle glass in this town, other than the wine bottles.

People can vote daily by signing up or via facebook.
Those who have text messaging can have an additional daily vote by texting 110778 to 73774.

****Additionally, for Pepsi drinkers, certain bottle caps have a code which you may enter on RefreshEverything.com. This will entitle you to more votes, anywhere from 5 to 100 additional votes, so please check your Pepsi bottle caps.

This piqued my interest so I Googled the topic. Really amazing how it works and can make safe, rounded-edge glass for the landscaping. I never would have thought it could work yet amazed how nice it is once I saw it.

We're facing some tough competition but if we can keep voting and sharing the information it would be such a win-win situation for Miles City and EMI. Keep voting and sharing.

to vote by text, send 110778 to 73774. It's a little irritating you have to send a STOP message afterwards to block more messages from Pepsi, unless you want to get more messages from Pepsi that is.

We need to get them to vote on their own phone! Every day!! Not just once, but once or twice a day!!
We are a little town compared to our competition, so we need to blast 'em. Jim

The system will only allow one vote per phone per day.
Perhaps a daily texting party at the office water cooler every morning at the coffee break?

Voting ended yesterday. I couldn't get a final position for our Miles City project but I think it was close to #60. I guess we can chalk it up to education that we just don't have a big enough population to win these internet voting competitions. As a member of the EMI recycling board, I will be looking for other ways to finance glass recycling in Miles City. Any idea? Thanks for all your voting!
