Posted by Jessica Walker (+14) 11 years ago
Our dog Todd went missing on Tuesday 11/22/11 in Miles City near Truscott street. He is wearing a green collar with Ekalaka tags. He is part border collie/red heeler cross. He is mostly red in color with a white chest, belly, and legs. He has some black on him as well. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is timid but will not bite. PLEASE if you see him try and catch him and notify me or the police. We will pay you if you catch him. We live in Ekalaka, but will come pick him up. Again his name is Todd and he is mostly red and white in color. He has been spotted by the high school, main street, 7th street and the Town pump. PLEASE help us!!!!

my number is 406-939-2079 406-939-0279

I talked to Jessica and Todd has not been caught yet, but if you see him or spot him, Todd looks like a fox. Jessica put the wrong phone number on this add, her number is
Jessica Walker 1-406-939-0279 Her husband's phone number is
Jamie 1-406-975-8743 so if anyone has seen Todd call these numbers or the police at 232-3411 or Animal Control at 234-6113 Thanks for any help in catching Todd.

I think I saw this dog over in the Milestown Estates at noon today. I was not close enough to see the green collar but saw a loose dog running around matching the red/white description.

I would hope the good people of Miles City would help one another out in hopes of finding Todd for the right reason's and NOT for the reward.
If I find Todd...I would totally refuse taking any money for helping a person reunite with something so important...that is more precious then any dollar amount.
This is Holiday time....lets help make Jessica's present get back to her loving arms.
Please do not keep any secrets as this is a person hurting very much.
Good Luck tomorrow Jessica....Lets all help her.

Thanks to the great citizen's of Miles City!!!

Please help find Todd, his owner is in town from Ekalaka today and has to go back before dark, so if you spot Todd please call both of these numbers the minute you see Todd 1-406-939-0279, 1-406-560-2102 because I am out helping the owner look today and maybe one of our cars can get to the area he is in before he leaves that area and maybe one of our cars can follow him, Please try to follow Todd so we don't lose site of him and you can keep us informed of where and what street he is on. Then we can get to the area while he is still there, Please everyone give each other any information you have about Todd so we can reunite him with Jessica before it gets dark and the snow comes. Thank you for your help.

I helped Jessica look for Todd all day and when ever we got to an area where Todd was spotted there was no dog around the area. Jessica had to go back to Ekalaka and will not be in Miles City until Friday to look for Todd. So if anyone catches Todd turn Todd into Animal Control. Call my cell phone number 1-406-560-2102 day or night if you spot Todd because I told Jessica I would keep looking and will talk to her on Friday and help her again on Friday. Does someone know or have any ideas where Todd is spending the nights, if the Miles City Community could figure out where Todd goes at night, a live trap with strong smelling food for bait could be set to catch him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is not about the reward, it is about reuniting Todd and Jessica before the snow and cold weather get here.

Thank you so much, Laura~
I am hoping to be done at work tomorrow at 2pm and will continue to search for Todd.
I was sure hoping to come on here tonight to see that Jessica and Todd had re-united...
I think a trap is a wonderful idea...Dixie did a wonderful job in finding Shy before the winder weather...what a awesome lady!

I pray tomorrow brings better news, poor Jessica must be a wreck...I know how I would feel if my beloved dog was missing...Keep the faith, Jessica.

Check real well along the river as they will go there to hunt for food. Also, check with the kitchens at the motels because they smell the food. At least you might get a line on him. Outside the motels was where my neighbor spotted my boys after they had been on a run all night.

Still looking for Todd, call1-406-560-2102 if you happen to see Todd. Thanks for any help in finding and catching Todd. Anyone walking their dogs on the walking trails at spotted eagle please carry a bowl of canned food and an extra leash because maybe if you put the bowl down on the ground and don't yell, whistle, or call him he might come get the food, then you could maybe get a leash on his collar. He has been seen on the walking trail at spotted eagle, maybe he is even going by the horses and cattle by spotted eagle because people are feeding cats, maybe he gets the cat food. Keep your eyes open at spotted eagle. He was even in the middle of the fairground playing with a dog that was walking with it's owner. So carry bowls of food and extra leashes when you are out walking your dogs.

Ok, I would just like to confirm this dog has been found with the the owner Jessica. Today at approx 1:30-2:00 PM my dog and I spotted a RED dog with a WHITE chest at Spotted Eagle. After a good long hunt tracking it all the way to the interstate bridge over the Tongue River, it turned back and headed to Spotted Eagle where a friend of mine also saw it. This dog acts scared & meets the description of what Jessica first posted on here. If it's another dog then it is hilarious because there were about 30 people or so "on the hunt" at Spotted Eagle today....

Posted by Laura Sevier (+1825) 11 years ago
Josh, call Jessica at 1-406-939-0279 to confirm her dog Todd was found. If anyone thinks there is a loose dog that keeps going to Spotted Eagle and it is afraid, call Animal Control at 234-6113 and have him set a trap to catch the loose red and white dog. Animal Control had a trap set in the area where Todd kept going, but someone else caught Todd, he was not caught in the trap. So if you feel there is another red and white dog on the run out at Spotted Eagle have Animal Control set a trap and maybe that dog could be caught.

Now that the happy ending has been reached, I can take my teeth out of my tongue and administer this word of warning to all you naive 'I want a dog' types considering getting a new pet:

Look at the dog. If it has heeler in the mix, just say no.

To all you dyed-in-the-wool, love-all-dogs-no-matter-what types, ignore my warning. It is not directed at you. It is directed at people who have never owned a dog, and have not dealt with heelers. They are a lot of work.

Truth in disclosure: Lab owner for 4 years, border collie owner for 17.

Posted by Gunnar Emilsson (+18347) 11 years ago
Black! It was a fine potlicker, too....used to go hunting with me, when it got old, when it decided it had enough, it would walk back to the pickup and sleep under it until I came back with my brace of grouse.

All the dogs I have ever owned have been smart. The current border collie hates hunting, and this fall, when I blasted 8 shells to shoot my limit of 3 grouse it too took off and walked 3 miles back to the pickup. But it was waiting for me at the pickup when I got back.

Merry Christmas to you and Todd...if he could only tell you the stories about his last few weeks....WOW!

So HAPPY...whomever caught the dog...good for you...I just hope you refused the reward....!!!

There's NO WAY I could of taken $1000.00 from a sweet girl who did alot of suffering the past weeks...just seeing those two reunited would of been priceless.

Thank you to Laura, for keeping us updated and for posting the picture of Todd in Jessica's car...so wonderful

Great news, organizing the whole town to a cause is one thing MilesCity.com does best. Just a thought, if the reward is unclaimed, you might send some of it to support the site so it keeps running and future lost dogs and cats have a better chance of being rescued.

I love my blue heeler black lab mix! I have had nothing but compliments on how good a dog he is and how calm he was as a pup. Not just another love my dog no matter what, because my other dog (who I do love) can't remember his name when I call him and ate his doggy bed yesterday.
