What's happening at Hardee's

Anyone know what Hardees is going to be? My kids are pulling for Chuck E. Cheese. Wife thinks it might be a Michael's. My personal preference would be a shrine to the greatest sports franchise in the history of the world - the Denver Broncos.

I am guessing we are all wrong, but the correct answer would be appreciated.

Dave,

You are so right on the Bronco thing, It does my heart good to see some clear thinking Miles Cityites. But it is clearly going to be a Costco.

I like the Bronco's Shrine idea.

Maybe Spike knows?

If i recall correctly, ray and terri schmidt purchased the land and building. Or maybe it was the reids. But i am not sure what they are putting in. They would probably be the people in the know.

I hope it has Keno machines.

Just what Miles City needs, more Keno machines. Let's hope it is something a little more useful to the community.

I happen to know it will be a topless shoe shine parlor with off track betting.

If its a shrine to the Bronco's I think I'd have to change my home of record...

I can hear the evening news now: Bob L is moving to MC.

Evidently the fellow that owns it is the same guy who owns KFC but he's evidently not very forthcoming about his plans. That can mean only one thing - a lifesize replica of Willie Wonka's chocolate factory.

Isn't this fun.

Not a casino.

There is another casino going in where Jewel's was. We REALLY need more casinos in Miles City and Montana. They're great for the economy.

Nah. Peeler bars don't do much for me, they're kind of depressing, actually. And I think MC already has an OTB at the Golden Spur(?)

Hey, ask me how I did at the track last weekend.

So, let me catch up here. Hardees is gone? Like for good? That cant be!! My husband loves Hardees burgers over any other and thankfully we have one here in Des Moines right across the street. Haynes just wont be the same?!

And for my two cents worth, I think it ought to be a memorial to the San Fransisco 49ers!

Chad keeps making a point of what's not going into Hardee's like it's a big secret and he's one of the few that know. Well, the fact is that there is nothing planned to go in there. Ray is just fixing it up so it will be ready for any type of business that might be interested in going in there. He is not interested in running another business at this time - too many headaches now.

I heard that the owner of the building was putting in another casino (unfortunately!) Don't we have enough of those in this town. And in Montana. They are totally devasting but the owners don't seem to care - puts money in their pockets.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

Yeah, it's too bad that the people who choose to go into casinos and choose to put money into machines also choose to put money into the pockets of the casino owners.

Devasting - does that mean to make something smaller (i.e. a reduction in the level of vast)?

Devastating - sorry. And yes, I caught your sarcasm.

I realize that they are adults making their own decisions. I just wish that the machines weren't there for people to drop their paychecks into. They are addicted! I know, a million arguments for this one. Gambling has been around for longer than time - they'd gamble it away some other way - blah blah. My opinion: We don't need anymore casinos in this town. And those that keep building them are being greedy.

No casino.

It will look nice and the menu is promising.
