There are some nerds with a LOT of money! I can't imagine what a custom balloon like that costs, but it can't be cheap. Very cool, I loved the balloon rally in MC when I was a kid. It was literally in our back yard.

Where does this take place, would love to see it some year?

It is in Albuquerque, NM and is held the first week of October every year.
