I came across this article in the Billings Gazette a few days ago and it struck me as amusing.

I hope the link to the article works.

Yep..it works. I read it in the paper. I'm sure it will be just a matter of time before it's on Leno or Letterman. But that's ok. Keep making Montana the butt of the jokes and it will keep celebrities from moving in!

Guys:

They do this all over the Midwest and Southeast.

Some of you don't know what you're missing... this is a great game!

I learned to play this game from an old cowboy who made a set of these boxes and bags. We used them when we were away from home and wanted to pass the time in the evenings after a full day in the hayfields.

It's a more portable game than horseshoes.

So Russell you and your cowboy friend used "cornholing" to pass the time? Sounds a little "brokeback" to me!

I don't think its stopped them yet and even if it did, would that be a bad thing?

I'm heading up to the Yippee Days tomorrow and I'm definetly doing some cornholling. I'll let everyone know how the cornholling went.

a few months ago 'cornholing' was mentioned on espn radio.. does that make it a sport? i'd say yes! expecially since the world series of poker made it on espn.

Gary:

Don't forget about:
--- Darts
--- Dominoes

Both of which have recently appeared on ESPN. Sheesh, what's next, rock/paper/scissors???

Rock/Paper/Scissors was featured on Sportscenter sometime in the last week. I think they made a documentary-style show. I don't know if it's going to be on ESPN or not.
