Anybody else having problems with wasps?

Is anybody else having problems with wasps in the last week or two, in particular them coming into your house?
I have never seen anything like this: my house is being invaded by them. I am fairly certain i know where they were coming from outside and we have sprayed and whatnot and don't see them much anymore. But there is a ton of them that keep getting in my house from somewhere. The vast majority of them seem about dead by the time they get in, but I still don't want them in there. Period. I left town after work Fri. and got back about 4:00 Sunday afternoon and bet there was at least 35-40 in there.

Does anybody have any solutions? Or know of anyone who could help? Please!! My landlord doesn't seem to want to do anything else... This is getting really old. Its to the point that I am about half-scared to be in my house.

Thanks!!!!

Solution: move the prayer meeting to another location.

It is cooling down at night. They are searching for warmth. If they are in your house they may be coming in a chimney. We had to block our fireplace off to keep them from coming in our basement. Find the access point and block it off. Soon they will be dormant.

I am having the exact same problem. I live in a apt building and have no idea how they are getting in but they are. and they dive bomb me and my kids and I spend hours trying to kill them all. It hasnt been as bad last couple days with just a couple coming in from somewhere but Im in the same boat, it makes us not even want to come home and my kids are scared to death as every year we have been here noone will take care of the wasps and they just walk out the front door and are stung.

I have found the traps to be pretty successful when hung outside. Don't bother with the bait enclosed in the package for this time of year. This is when they really go for fruit and I have found orange or grape pop poured in the bottom attracts them like crazy. I don't know about putting the traps inside, but maybe in a seldom used room. They really are good at finding that sweet stuff, so it could possibly work without them bothering you too much.

Try putting some apple juice in a pie pan and put some dish soap in it. It worked good at a birthday party at the park. The juice attracts them and then when they land in it, the soap gets on them and they can't get out. Maybe where they are so lethargic now they may not be attracted to it. Worth a try.

My husband says that he finds their nests...sprays "Wasp and Hornet's Spray" on them...and, they are done for. Some of the sprays will shoot eight to ten feet so you do not have to get close. Hope you find help.

Is it possible that the wasps have settled in behind your house's siding? That may be why you can't find them outside anymore. I'd lend you my dog but I live too far away. He eats wasps. No, really, he eats them.

we had the same problem but with bees. There was a hole in the foundation and they came in from there in our tool room where the wall wasn't completely finished. So my husband spray something in there to kill them and then took great stuff and sealed up the hole outside and the area inside his tool room. After that, we haven't had any problems. Hope this helps you.

Susan,
That's what i'm going to try tonight. After it cools off, I'm going to clean everything out from under the kitchen sink where I think they're coming in and I bought some of that "Great Stuff" to patch any holes, then have a friend coming over to spray some Tempo.

Just for good measure, I have plans to farm my cat out tomorrow at the vet's so I can set off a fumigator as well.

I hope this work!!!!
